Marvel Custom Misty Knight 3 3/4'' Figure

Marvel Custom Misty Knight

I made this Misty Knight custom several weeks ago as a commissioned project for one of clients. We decided to go with a red jumpsuit/uniform with a decorative black strip running down the sleeves and from the armpit down to the ankles. Her right hand is the only exposed part of her bionic arm.

Custom Catwoman, Black Widow, Fantastic 4 & Red She-Hulk

Here are four of my latest custom Marvel action figures. I will try and give each figure a post of her own with more custom pictures and details. It's a rare opportunity for anyone interested to own one of these custom female figures at the prices I have them at right now. Catwoman has some really great features and functional accessories that we'll get to later.

Custom Red She-Hulk Marvel

Custom Red She-Hulk

With all of the She Hulks I've been making lately one of them had to be Red She-Hulk. I thought it would be a really cool concept to make
Red She-Hulk with a black dress because the green She-Hulk has the iconic white dress. This is truly a one of a kind custom action figure.

Here's how I made a custom Red She-Hulk:

I used a marvel universe spider-woman as my base figure. Then I sanded the factory paint off of the base figure. After sanding and washing the figure, the first thing I painted was the red skin color.

I used blue and yellow kneadatite (a.k.a. greenstuff) to make the lower part of the dress. Greenstuff is great for sculpting things like this. Once the greenstuff had cured I painted the black dress.

I sculpted some strands of her hair and took the bulk of it from another figure's head. I painted the face red first, then I painted the eyes yellow and finally the lips and eyebrows black.

And that's how to customize a Red She-Hulk Figure!

CUSTOM SHE-HULK WHITE DRESS

"WHITE DRESS SHE HULK"

I had a bit of a mix up earlier- I got my blogspot blogs crossed and posted an article about customizing she-hulk with the white dress on my custom gi joe blog instead of here where she belongs with the other custom marvel universe characters. Moving forward though.

Custom She-Hulk Purple & White Outfit

The is the other She-Hulk I was talking about in yesterday's post.

I did a lot more sculpting on her than I did on the fantastic 4 she-hulk. I really like how her hair turned out.
For this custom, I sculpted her boots, zipper, breasts and hair. I took her apart and meticulously sanded her joints down before painting. Sanding the joints is an essential part of customizing action figures. It's also my least favorite thing to do, but I do it anyway because it is so crucial to the overall success of the figure.
I think of this as art. Customizing is the best of so many differient mediums rolled into one. (That's why I like customizing.)

Sculpting, sketching, painting, working in 3D- all of  this leads to the finished piece or art.

Thanks for checking out my custom SHE-HULK!

Custom Fantastic 4 She-Hulk

Custom 3 3/4 inch Fantastic Four She-Hulk

She-hulk is one of my all-time favorite superhero females. I love to customize She-Hulk figures. Most of the figures I customize are 3 3/4 inch in scale. However I will be customizing a few 6 inch figures in the future.  I recently customized 2 She-Hulk figures as commissioned art - the first She Hulk I made was the purple and white zipper-up outfit and the second She-Hulk figure I did was the Fantastic 4 She-Hulk.

After Outlining (Finishe Piece)

The picture above is the finished version of my custom Fantastic Four She-Hulk. The main difference is that the circle on her chest is outlined in black as well as the number 4. Outlining truly gave her the proper finishing touch.

Before outlining

I used a Marvel Universe female figure (obviously lol) and a resolute gi joe head for this custom fantastic four she-hulk.
